In Chinese, diabetes is 糖尿病 (tángniàobìng in Mandarin). This literally translates as "sugar pee illness."
This annoys me because Mandarin is the dialect of Chinese and tángniàobìng is how it would be written in pinyin, which is the romanization of the Chinese characters. Literally it would also translate to “sugar urine disease” but put together as it is above, it translates to “diabetes”.
If someone’s going to take the time to make a post like this, they should really make sure its correct first.
